Start your row during your usual morning class attendance or begin at 8:15AM. Catalyst will provide - Music, beverages, rowers, encouragement. Option to row outside if weather permits, otherwise - we’ll be inside the studio where masks will be required by all participants, but the air will be COOL.
TO PARTICIPATE — PLEASE STAND BY FOR DETAILS ON RESCHEDULE:
Guests / Non-Members: Email US with the subject line MAY 15 HALF MARATH. And let us know you intend to row, either as a solo or tandem team. Include contact info for all team members. We will reply with a request for full info and waiver completion. COST: FREE, please be welcome as our Guest!
Current Members: Email US with your intention to row the Half, including team member info if rowing as a tandem. Then - sign up for either 7am class or 8:15am class, depending upon your preferred start time. You must do both so we know you want to complete the Half! Thanks!
DETAILS: This is an unprecendented meter-goal for previous Catalyst classes or events, so the goal is to FINISH SUCCESSFULLY rather than set any blistering records. (Trust us, blisters may already be a factor!) Consider these reference points:
—Rowing at a 2:45 split pace, a half-marathon means nearly two hours of continuous rowing.
—Rowing at a 2:25 split with a few water/fuel/stretch breaks will also mean about 2 hrs of rowing total. —Rowing a 2:15 split continuously means about 1hr 35 min of work w/o pauses.
Again, the goal is to finish - either as a solo or splitting the meters between yourself and a buddy.
TO “GET ‘ER DONE”
You can set your rower up in any number of configurations, including:
—Single distance: 21,097 meters
—Two Intervals (or 1 ea. w/ a buddy): 10,549 meters / Unspecified rest between
—Four Intervals - 5,275 meters ea / Unspecified rest between, etc.
